Anyone still building/collecting them? (and can we see them?) I built a TON of them when I was a kid but don't have a single one left----I wish I had taken care of them and kept them.

I still build them; as well as aircraft, ships, and armor. I find it relaxing. As a matter of fact, I have about 420 kits waiting to be built!

Drives my wife nuts!!!

I built a lot of plastic kits in the 60's. and couldn't throw away the engines or wheels. So i've taken the parts from some of my childhood and some sick stuff! I like the metal stuff with custom House of colors paints.last project,a pinto to a real streat machine with small V8 and the works. My wife even thought it was cool.I've a testers T'bucket kit and it's begging for a T'Rantula 427 SOHC or a Desoto Baby HEMI! Have fun.

Used to build them all the time. Now I only build maybe one or two a year and those are for friends who buy a kit, then decide it's more than they want to deal with and ask me to do it. "Hey, you used to build these, want to do this one for me?" I still have a few of the planes I did years ago hanging in the spare bedroom.

I use to build a lot in the 60's.

Then when I was at CHP HQ, I built
a lot of custom 1/24th and 1/18th scale
diecast cars at home, into CHP vehicles
and displayed them in my office.

And on 'Bring your family to work day',
I would displayed them at Motor Transport
at the CHP Academy.

I would also customize Hot Wheel Cars
as a hobby for relaxation and to give to
friends and family members as gifts.

I was hoping there'd be more pics, I used to like to paint them just as much as make them when I was a kid.

I am not active builder, but I have a couple hundred kits waiting their turn.
