10-5 snub pricing

I have read a few threads lately concerning "selling prices" for used 10-5 snubbies. It seems to me that -5's should be the most common one you would come across. They were made for several YEARS, like over a decade years. If a used one sells nowdays for $500.00, what would a new in the box one bring?

That is sweet, Combat. If that RB -5 was mine You would be paying more than $500. Don't know how much more than $500, but definitely more.

I have an early (Diamond center PC magna) SB -5 that is nice, but not a good as that one.

I bought a 10-5 2 inch in nickel new back in 1972. $102.50

WOW, It's hard for me to believe that a model 10 would ever bring $650.00. I used to pass over NIB N frames priced at $650.00 as a asking to much price.My self-imposed old price limits that I used to collect by are extremely off now. This may seem kind of strange to some but if I were to "thin my herd" and get the current prices being obtained for some of them,deep down I would feel a little ashamed.

January I got a 10-5 4" with box for $400.00 The finish is near perfect. No turn line. A snub nosed one would bring more.

Unfortunately I can't find the price I paid for this early 10-5 2" but if I were to sell it I would have to get $550+. That might be my "don't really want to sell it" price. Both are -5's with original stocks. It doesn't matter because it's not for sale anyway, but I would agree your RB could be pushing $650 to the right buyer these days, especially on the internet.

Looking at the pictures it appears to have bluing loss but it's just reflections.
