A few weeks ago I bought a model 10-7 2" snub from the local pawn shop. Pinned barrel serial number 5D62562. The issue is single action isn't working. It works just fine double action. Is there any way to easily fix it?

Thanks for the reply. Just checked and it seems fine. But I did notice something else that probably solves my predicament. The hammer seems to be bent or warped just a bit to where it is touching the frame when cocked preventing the hammer from going all the way back to lock in.

If you've cleaned and oiled it well and it still does the same thing it is either one of a few problems. Either the notch for the lock-up on full cock is worn or the hammer spur is bent. It is more likely the hammer spur is bent than the full cock notch is worn. A bent hammer spur usually happens when a revolver is dropped.

Could also be an oversized or wrong set of grips interfering with the full cock, hitting the hammer spur on full cock.

First, remove the grips and try it gain. If it still does not lock up to the full back lock notch, watch to see if the hammer spur is htting the frame.

If so, very gently with a pair of vise grips using a piece of leather as an insulator not to mark the hammer spur, slightly bend the spur upwards a tad and try it again.

Report back to let us know how you did.
