10-7 SNUB

Based on the case colors on the back of the hammer where the spur would have been, I'd say they replaced it. Nice gun! I'd like to do the same with my new to me Model 64 snub, but I haven't really looked for a bobbed flash chromed stainless hammer yet.

That is a fantastic gun set up exactly right. A T grip is all you need now. Congrats on a great revolver.
This is one I used to have that I regret parting with.

TNDave,

can you tell me anything about those grips? Not 100% sure because I don't have it in my hands yet, but I believe a soon to be mine 19-7 K comp has grips on it pretty similar or same as those. thanks.

Another gem Mike! I'm interested In IF there will be a range report!

Those are Precision Hideout grips. Brownells has them. They make them for K and J frames. They are great for carry guns.

You have done well.
A very nice find, and you have done exactly the right work on it for a concealed carry revolver. The only other thing I can think of as an improvement would be a Pinned Front Sight, and an XS 24/7 Tritium Night Sight, or a Green Ramp.
I have not done the sight work to mine either. I just added Green Sight Brite to the back of the blade so it is easier to see.

You have a dandy.

I sold my only bobbed hammer gun with the intention of eventually funding a Model 10 or 66 snub.

Someday...

My Model 10 RB Snub and my Model 15 SB Snub both have Pachmyr Profeshinal Compac grips on them. The Round Butt is way better for concealment.

I have my Model 10 on loan to my little brother at the moment.

The Model 10 Round Butt snub is about as good as it gets for concealed carry in a belt holster in my opinion. Most who carry a snub like the model 10 never cock it. So a bobbed hammer is a good addition for no snag presentations. The ONLY Good reason to have a hammer spur on one is a security holster with a hammer strap of some sort that requires the hammer spur to work correctly. I still have a few holsters with thumb break for my out back carry where I might loose my revolver without some better retention than given by my open top pancakes.

I carry my 3 Inch Model 66-2 the most of all my snubs. However a 2 Inch has some real advantages. I carry in a Pancake at 4 O'Clock most of the time. This positions the muzzle right on top of my back pocket where I carry my billfold. The 3" is just long enough to make getting my billfold out a little harder. You can tell a difference between the 2 Inch and 3 Inch. Next is concealment under a shirt. One inch shorter again helps to keep the muzzle concealed.

Another consideration is the holster. I order most of mine now days from Rocky Hill Leather who is just down the road about 4 miles from me. I have him stop the bottom of the holster at the end of the muzzle. Leather extending below the muzzle is just extra to conceal.

Again Great Build.

guskody,
Pachmayr has the Compac Professional grip. Same profile as the one posted but thinner in the grip area. I bought it for a test but haven't installed it yet. Looks to be very good.

THIS^^^^^
Despite being "goodyears", I run the Compac Professional grip on my 2" NY-1 M64 and could not be more satisfied. Well worth their cost. Very concealable as well as functional.

I like wood stocks best, but I'll take a comfortable Goodyear over an uncomfortable wood any day.
My 66-1 2.5" has Pachmayr Compac Professionals and I'd much rather shoot magnum ammo with those Goodyears than with RB Magnas.

I know it's been a while since this thread has regularly active, but I was curious as to what kind of case your snubbie is in. Is it a nano vault?
