how do you remove the pin?

It is illegal to do in California or any other state where you can't own a magazine over 10 rounds.

I don't care to speculate how any loopholes or build kits may work around it. It's not worth the legal trouble when it's $20 for another magazine.

If you can do so legally all you need to do is drill the bit of plastic on either side to expose the ends of the pin and tap it out. This will obviously permanently alter the magazine. There is a thread with pictures if you look.

took mag apart and saw what it consisted of. more or less really just wanted to put 25 rds in it just to see what it would look like. I feel the same way rutspot does, its not worth terrorist charges or whatever trumped up charges they would throw at me

Just ordered 2 short magazines from these/this guy. Never heard of the place but I googled them and 3 reviews praised their service so I went for it. I think it's the cheapest I found for them:

Wow, nice. Wish I could afford that many haha. I ordered yesterday and I got an email this evening saying that they shipped. Wish it were cheaper to send two short, polymer magazines but oh well. Still a great price.

Next time Allied Armory has good prices on them too but these guys beat their price.

Well I was at the local gun store and seen them selling those for $36 a pop. When I seen your post it got me a bit excited to see them that cheap because I was able to get the mags for less than $20 each. So It was hard not to buy it. I got as many as I could.

I know there are some guys in the "normal states " that think spending $90 on just 50 rounds worth of magazines is a bit crazy. But hey, here in California and other tactical ban states we got to have mags too. More mags make more fun. Plus the shorties fit nicely in my .50 cal ammo can.

As far as the customer service goes. I seen that they shipped it sometime today. Still to early to track it through the UPS tracker though. I Will give an update on their service when they get here.

I ordered a single shorty 10 rounder from Golden State Tactical. Not sure if their price is the best available but it was acceptable to me, and they had great service. I ordered on a Sunday night and they shipped it early that Monday morning.

These magazines are great, everyone would enjoy having at least one for shooting from the bench. I'm trying mine out tomorrow, as long as the forecast for t-storms and high wind doesn't hold true.

Wow, those were the short magazines? Ouch! My pistol magazines cost a little more than that =/ That's such a rip,think they retail for $20 haha. I haven't looked for any in store but I'm happy with this deal. Haha I hear ya on the magazine restrictions. Wish my 10/25 were 25 rounders! I actually just noticed I got 1/2 of my tax return in my checking account, could have ordered another 5 for myself

10 rnd shorties from S&W

I ordered 2 from S&W through my LGS 2 months ago......still waiting. However I was able to buy 1 for $565.00 + tax. It came in last Friday and I picked it up today.....attached to my 15-22 Performance Center.
S&W must have quite a production demand for those little guys. Only reason I wanted a couple is for bench rest testing. Now I have 2 and stiil am waiting on the other 2.

Mine got here too. My only complaint is that they could've shipped it out of there place a day sooner but it's cool. I gotta get used to how short these are haha I pinched my skin inserting it like a 10/25. I'll just have to keep my palm at the very bottom instead of the side. Very happy to have these (4 magazines total, yay!), will try them out Thursday.
