It only took 18 year and 2 months for me to hit post 1000. I was about 200 posts when I retired in late 2014. During that time I have learned a lot about S&Ws in general and a lot about life in other parts of the US and the world. I have seen a lot of people come and go on the forum. Some left because their interests changed and some because they forgot that we are guests here and have to play by rules not of our making. And another group left because the sands of the hourglass ran out and they moved on to the next part of life's journey.

i would like to thank the people who monitor this forum and all of my fellow forum members for putting up with me. And most of all to our host, for making this place available to me and all who wish to participate. I am of an age that common sense must conclude that I will not make it to 2000 posts. I have enjoyed my time here and look foreword to more years of enjoyment and participation on what I think is the best forum on the interweb. Thank you all! Glen Bowers (GB)

It doesn't take much for 1000 posts to become 2000 posts, and so forth from there. Being on the forum with everybody has become a major activity for me since i retired.
