If I could talk to our Great (Greatest) President Trump, I would tell
him I do not need the $1K.
Please help only those more Unfortunate than me, the very poor,
people that really live pay check to pay check, Farmers,
and those that Volunteer running around helping those home

connected to them, as they obviously have things under
control and will help all.

I really don't need it either.
I heard someone on the radio yesterday saying that there are a few asking Trump not to send everyone $1000 but rather step up unemployment so it can get money to the people who can't work due to the virus immediately rather than the usual 4-6+ weeks.
I'd rather see the people directly affected get help rather than just passing out money to everyone.
However, if I do see the $1000 I have decided to invest it wisely.
One need to remember, for every action there is a reaction,
some how we will have to repay this.
I'll invest in increasing my ammo stockpile.

Folks need to let the hate go, it's very transparent.

The proposed bill, still to be acted upon, has these provisions:
1) No money to illegals
2) Based on your 2018 tax return
3) $1200 to singles up to $75K
4) $2400 to couples up to $150k
5) Each kid gets $500
6)Eligible income includes SS and retirement benefits
7) over the income limits it decreases proportionately, with no payment to singles over $99k and couple over $198k
7) Low income, without having tax liability, only get $600 each.

My grandson's mom works for a chiropractor who had to close his office this week. These are the people who really need some help. She can apply for unemployment but that could take forever.

I also heard the $75k limit. Really? If someone who made $75K needs money, that's their own fault. 
I have my retirement and Social Security. I get by just fine and don't need a government handout.
I think its the folks in the less than $35-40K range that really need the money.
I understand that the economy is suffering and does need some stimulation. But I see no point in wasting millions of dollars on people who don't need it. I've sent e-mails to all my congress critters suggesting a much lower income level to receive the handout.

In reality, this Keynesian bailout won't help the economy at all. It will simply increase debt and deficit, and result in bigger problems to come.
How are people supposed to "stimulate" the economy when the segments that need help the most are shuttered? Segments like Netflix are going to gain most of this money from the stay-at-home crowd, but since they don't produce anything it isn't going to result in a net gain for the economy.

Realistically it should go to those who get laid off during this time. Someone making 40k who keeps all their pay checks doesn't need it as much as the guy making 76k who suddenly has no income.

It's all about aggregate demand folks. Economic activity has crashed. S&P 500 futures are falling again, indicating an opening that would represent a decline of over thirteen percent since last Friday's close, which was already off from recent highs. There are all sorts of records being broken within that. It includes the biggest single-day point drop in the Dow and is the biggest weekly decline since the financial crisis. Unemployment is at 20% and going up. Sooner or later the realization that Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public ain't buying stuff (except for toilet paper and ammo), will work its way up the food chain and the Masters of the Universe on Wall Street will see all of that paper they own turn into . . . well, turn into the reason we have toilet paper.
They are hoping everyone will take that G and go out and buy stuff and help them thar executive bonuses keep comin' in.

I saw on the news this morning that a tentative deal has been reached in Congress. Checks could be issued within the next 3 weeks. The information is based on news reports, so take it with a grain of salt and don't spend it yet.
$1200 for individuals making $75,000 or less, $2400 for married couples making $150,000 or less. I just read that a family of 4 would receive $3000 if under the threshold, so it appears there's an additional $300 per child for those who qualify.
Just some numbers for you to mull over...
- Our current national debt is rapidly approaching 24 trillion.
- Projected cost of this part of the stimulus is between 1.4 and 2 trillion dollars, which will increase the national debt by about 8%.
- US Federal tax revenue for the year is 3.2 trillion and declining.
- US unfunded liabilities (SS, Medicare, Fed employee and Veteran benefits, etc..) has reached 132 trillion and is climbing.
- Our current GDP (total value of all final goods and services produced in the US in a year) is currently at 21.7 trillion and declining.
I'll refraining offering my personal opinion.

Looks like the agreement is not going anywhere, fast. Seems that some folks want to pad it with other items, such at increased emissions standards for airlines.
