While searching for replacement grips for my 1076 I found absolutely none so I decided to take a crack at modifying standard grips to accommodate the de-cocking mechanism. It wasn't too hard using a milling machine. It could be done with a Dremel but I wouldn't be able to do it and have it look halfway decent. The standard grips need a relief cut above the magazine release to accommodate the de-cocking lever at the front of the grips and another relief cut inside the left grip panel. The cut inside the grip panel was particularly challenging since the thin grip panel vibrates a lot when trying to mill it. I ended up placing finger pressure on the outside of the grip panel and making several passes to accomplish the cut. I didn't attempt to follow the factory cut exactly and just milled it straight while the original grip is milled at an angle that would be difficult to duplicate on my mill and proved unnecessary.
Pics are of the original 1076 grips with the factory relief and the unmodified and modified 1006 grips and then the modified grips on the pistol. You can tell they are modified as the original grips are smooth at the top.
