1086 Has Arrived!

Well, it took me a little longer to get it, but better late than never I guess. I picked up my 1086 last night, had to work today so I haven't had time to check it out really. I'll update with a range report later. Just thought a few pics would do for now. It didn't come with a box, but did come with two 9 round mags. Probably can't tell from the pics (sorry) but they have the white followers...I've heard some of you talk about white and yellow followers, any care to elaborate? I'm not without some leather for it, but it is a duty holster...fine for open carry, but if anyone actually carries one of these ccw, I would love to know what kind of holsters/rigs you have that works well. Also, I know that there are some grip options available, any of you have something besides the black plastic grips? Lastly, the guy have me a box of 180gr. Blazers when I picked it up, which is good...but I reload my own ammo. So if any of you have a favorite load that you shoot, I'd like to know about it...even if you buy it commercially. Thanks again!

Holster.. DeSantis "Sig 220/6" holster will work perfectly.

As I stated in my earlier thread, I really have no great knowledge of 10mm's or smith auto's in general. Smith10, you mentioned the black trigger/hammer on mine, is this not correct, or did they offer different options?

Most were made with the flash chromed hammer and trigger. It's most likely your's was prodeuced later for an LE contract.

Also I have a Desantis TB scabbard that will fit your 1086 for $50.00 shipped if you want it.

Congrats on the beautiful piece!

Grips; it looks like you have the palm swells already, with the extra curvature at the back. I like the swells myself, but I have larger hands.

Loads: the PO of one of my 1076s was putting 10.5 grains of Blue Dot behind 180 XTPs, and that's pretty decent with the standard spring.

Speaking of springs I think I'll be ordering a couple of Wolf 22#ers.
