I just bought a model 1006 that came with 2 magazines. So of course I want to buy a few more, but with the rarity comes the high price as you all know. Anyway, I found a guy on eBay who is selling just the shells, no follower, no spring, no floor plate. My question, isn't the shell the hardest part to obtain? Couldn't you use more easily obtainable parts from other mags to complete them? I mean, the spring, follower and floor plate seem pretty generic. Am I way off on this? Thanks.

Sometime yes, sometimes no. It depends on the condition of the supply line when the decision was made to shut down production of any particular assembly. My guess right now until someone comes along with better info than I that you would be better off odds wise to just pay the higher prices and not think that you 'might' be able to buy parts and assemble yourself. Good luck. .......

Currently, it seems that the floorplate catch is the most difficult part to find.

Right at this moment: 2235 EST 6/9/16 Numrich still has them in stock.

Ordered two this am...along with some other parts.
