I'm going to do a Midway order and want to include a Lee 18 ball buckshot mold.

I would like to do a 000 mold so I can use it for 3 ball 357mag loads to mess with the IDPA guys when they do stages that are impossible with a revolver.

I don't have a book that shows any 000 loads. Does anybody have a load or know what manual will have some to pick from?

Any help would be great.

Can you fit three 000 buckshot into a .357 Magnum case? I have always used 231 in my multi ball loads. I find that 5.0 grs. is very forgiving as a starting point.

Another trick is to use Frontier plated bullets with new brass and a firm roll crimp. This will cause the sharp edges of the case mouth to bite into the plating and the copper base will separate when it leaves the barrel, cutting a perfectly round second hole through a cardboard target out to at least 7 yds. I discovered this quite by accident with my 8 shot .38 Super at an ICORE match and I suppose it can be duplicated on demand.

000 buck loads ... Ballistic products buckshot manual might be the go to data for you.
not a bad idea since running 000 two abreast is a good fit for the bore of a 12.
Im partial to 0 as its a near perfect fit in a 12G's wad

I use 3gr Unique under 3 000 buck sized thru a lee sizer with a shoebox cardboard disk between balls. I cut the disks with a 357 case sharpened with a deburing tool.

They crono at 680 fps.
