If the crimp is not sufficiently heavy, the recoil of the first few rounds will begin pulling the remaining bullets in the cylinder. To check the crimp load six rounds, fire one and check the remaining five to see if the bullets have begun to pull from the casing. Fire a second round and check again etc... If after firing the fifth round the sixth round has not begun to pull from the casing your crimp is good or too heavy.

If you want the lightest crimp possible then load six more with the lighter crimp and repeat the above sequence until you are satisfied.

Groo here
Always Always Always use a good strong crimp.
Especially with a lighter bullet.
Many problems will be reduced or eliminated
by this simple thing.

I am using the LEE factory crimp die, following instructions I have the crimp set between light and heavy about 5/8ths of a turn(medium crimp).By the looks of it it seems like the crimp that Magtech puts on thier factory ammo.I hope to be going to the range tomorrow,I'll keep you informed thanks.

Went to the range today, followed Gbolings and others advice checked the crimp on remaining rounds after each shot, took a while but worth the effort to be safe.I'll go with 5/8th turn on factory crimp die.Having problems with posting my photos. Will post when I can.

Or take the sage advice given to me by a member here.Take a loaded round (or use a dummy round) Meaure the length with your calipers then push down on it on your bench really hard with the palm of your hand. Now measure again. If it is shorter, the crimp is to light. Break the round down and crimp a little tighter.
