Hello All,

I just purchased a S&W 125th Anniversary Model 25-3. The revolver has been fired but not much. It is in really nice condition and I am very happy to own this gun. My problem is the latch on the wooden case. The lock is in the base of the case and works fine. But the brass "loop" (I don't know what else to call it) in the wooden case top is broken off. Can someone email me a picture of what the "loop" looks like? I will take the case to a locksmith but want a picture of what is suppose to be in place.

Thanks for the help,
Terry

I'm not exactly sure what you want a picture of but here are a couple of the case that I have. These lock assemblies should be fairly common and replaceable by your local hobby shops. I don't have any close-up pictures of the locks themselves. Hope these may help a bit.....

See attachment noting what picture I am looking for.

Regards,
Terry

Thanks for the pictures. I remember a buddy of mine who had one "back in the day." Or at least he said he did. We never actually saw it, but he loved to brag about it and how he'd "never even turned the cylinder." I had no idea why that might be important back then of course.

I wonder if he's still got it? Haven't seen that old boy in years.
