Picked up this '77 13-1 up just recently, SN 2D40XXX off GB for $375, had to have it due to condition, came with extra set of target stocks, it shoots POA for me out to 15yds, thats about all these old eyes can handle.

The very first revolver I ever carried as a cop was a model 13. Only it was a three incher.

I own two of them, a 4" blued 13-1 and a 4" nickel 13-2.

The Model 13 is a great revolver.

Got my first 13 about 3 years ago with a 3" barrel. I love it. Especially the round butt. figure sooner or later, I'll find one of those rare 4" with a round butt to make a pair!

Thanks to all for the kind comments. I do love S&W revolvers, I also have a 3" model 13-3 that I've had for many years, as a matter of fact it was my first ever .357, I had been weened on a '43 Remington Rand so a 45acp was the only gun I knew for many years.
