S&W model 13-3 with 3" barrel in original box with paperwork and original stocks in 97% condition with very slight wear on the end of the barrel on one side. What is a fair price between friends? And the friend is the original owner. I will try to get some pictures of it asap. Thanks

Haven't got it yet. We were trying to determine the value first. Never seen one before with the 3" barrel.

JMHO: I think the 3" Model 13 is the ideal carry revolver. I got mine many years ago and have always loved it. They, along with any 3" K-frame, are kinda hard to come by and demand high prices. I'll go along with the $800-900 friend price. However, at auction, these routinely go over $1000 easily.

He said he bought it in the 80's for less than $400. I will probably have trouble getting him to take what its worth as he is older and don't need the money. He's just that way.

I have a 13-2 3" round butt. LOVE it. I agree the $900 price is fair but probably below what the current market might bring on an auction sight. I would tell him that up front

If the seller sets a lower price that's his prerogative. Pay the man, be gracious and head for the range.

These are super hot items right now. Maybe you can get one for as low as $800, but I would expect most to be more in the area of $1000-$1200.

Went to get the gun today and his wife said she bought it for him for a Christmas gift and said its not for sale. I told them what it was worth and they said when the time comes it would be mine. O well can't win them all.

If the original stocks are round butt targets those are worth a bit more than say magnas.

Fact. I just paid $185 for a pair that were brand new and was happy to pay it. I felt like anything under $200 was a bargain.
