Well, I went into my local gun shop to get some decaping pins. Looking in the used gun case. 15-1 4 screw in somewhat rough shape. Light rusting here and there. Action seemed very tight. Bore good. Not much flame cutting. Dealer wanted $450, went to $400, I bit. Serial #K462386. I was told that is 1961.

This is officially an addiction. I have no need for this gun. I have a 4" 19-3 which I bought last year NIB.

I have my Dad's pristine 10-6.

Well, I cleaner it up. Rubbed the rust off with a cloth and some Kroil.

Hope to shoot it today or tomorrow.

Funny thing. Maybe I just never looked for them before, but since I got the one I've got, I seem to trip over them now. Everytime I stop by my favorite dealers they seem to have three or four on the rack. I keep trying to convince myself I don't need another one. (The ones I find are three screw models though)

Nice Mod 15 and a rare dash number.

The 15 is overshadowed by it's big brother the Mod 19. But a 4 inch K frame 38 spl is a revolver that'll do anything you need to do. Target shooting, nightstand gun, CCW.
I keep a Mod 15, 10 and 64 that "I have no need for ..." but I wouldn't do without 'em.

Need ain't got nothin' to do with it!

Took the 15 and friends to the range today. Put some target stocks on it for shooting. The originals are numbered to the gun.

15-1 right bottom, 10-6 right on top. 25-13 left bottom, 19-3 middle, 18-3 top.

Put about 150 rounds through the 15. Once I got it dialed in it was shooting very well. I don't think this gun was shot much, just banged around.

Had the SS guns along as well.

625JM on top, 617 middle, 620 in front.

Very nice afternoon. Need to ice the hand.
