should i just send it to the factory when i get it?

I've had mine for about 9 months and have posted here about it before. Round count is probably north of 4000-5000. I don't know that I ever checked the S/N prefix. I do know I have only had a hand full of FTF in that round count and attribute it to ammunition. I use Federal 550 bulk exclusively in all my .22's.

I bought the 15-22 after seeing a friend's at our club. He was having trouble and ended up sending it back twice to S&W. I throughly enjoy mine and we now have at least 8 at out local club.

I would reccomend the 15-22 to anyone wanting a .22cal AR. I'm also looking to buy the SIG 522 as soon as the NJ complient model arrives at a local dealer.

By the way, I'm in the B column.

A - bought in September, at least 3K rounds through since new, DUU SN. Everything WORKS except LRHO won't on one magazine regardless of ammo. Next step is full disassembly and complete cleaning of mags and lower to flush out cause.

I ordered a Sig 522 NJ compliant on 12/1 from a dealer in Brick Town. I went on the Sig site and did a search within 25 miles and came up with a dealer that also happens to have a security alarm business that we use at work. Hopefully it will be in by Christmas as they are in production now. From what I understand the NJ model has a solid A2 stock and not the one typically seen with the classic or swat model. Its the Sig 522 SCM-N188B-C model.

well, after much reading and much research @ s/n #'s and early editon DTX problems. i ordered one 8811032 15-22 and ended up with the DTX prefix. the gun finally arrived early this week, 'cuz the dealer misplaced my order. my ffl guy has it now and i still need to complete the paperwork and 10 day wait. after all that i still end up w/a DTX?! many with this s/n have been rock solid, others ick. should i just send it to the factory when i get it?

I have a DTX, have only run through about 800 rounds of CCI, Aquila and so far no problems. It's nice to know if something goes wrong S&W will fix it.

S&W M&P 15-22

No problems... I've had mine for a couple of weeks... Probably shot about 1000 rounds with only one FTE... Put a Bushnell red dot on it... I'll say this... At this time, the rifle works fine, it's extremely fun, and I'm looking foward to fixing it up with various "toys"... I have several .22LR's and, for the money, this one is, by far, the most fun, and, so far, very dependable... Oh, I have put several different brands and types of ammo through this rifle with no problems... If you are having ejection problems, Google S&W M&P 15-22... There is a video on YouTube that explains how to make a minor adjustment to the extractor that supposedly "fixes" problems with ejections... Have fun, and be safe...

Picked mine up in October, DUU**** serial number. I have upward of 600 rounds thru mine, with NO malfunctions of any kind! Use CCI Mini-mags and Stingers exclusively .... they work!

I have loved mine, very few problems. I used Federal and Winchester ammo, found out it liked the Winchester ( and Stingers as well), a few FTFs but not many, (I think they were issues as I learned how to clean the mags) I have run about 1700 rounds through it, and almost giggle every time I fire it. Now the bad news, Monday I was at the range and it spit out the ejector. So now I am in category A, but still pleased with the rifle.

had mine a couple weeks. no issues yet. only 100 rounds so far going to drop 1000 tomorrow. was looking for mods and info on parts and found this sight. no help as of yet but i guess if i just look around i can find all the answers. everything i want to know has already been posted. )) their are a lot of great people here.

Main reason I joined this site. I wanted to know what problem to expect and how to rectify them. If it wasnt for this site, I would of had alot more problems then I had. As I have had zero problems to date with my 15-22.

As I've posted before...

I've got a DVA.

So far, around 1700 rounds through it. I've got six 25 round mags and want more! If we didn't have 4 feet of snow, it would be a lot more.

The following in no particular order:

CCI
CCI Tactical
Winchester 333
Rem gold
Fed bulk
CCI Blazer
Fed. Target Grade Performance
Winchester Wildcat

OK, here it is, not one hiccup!!! Not one, I hope I
am not jinxing myself.

The darn thing is a hoot to shoot and add fun stuff to.
I've had to put away my credit cards!!!

I even like cleaning it!!!

I miss my trigger time with my Bushy .223, I just can't afford
to run it like I used to.

I just picked up 2100 rounds of Fed Bulk, and 2 boxes of 375 CCI Tactical.

My rifle seems to like the Fed Bulk just fine.

The Tactical is excellent stuff.

I've got a lot of Rem Gold left over and I am gonna try
to see if I can get through it, so far, even this junk feeds perfectly.

I keep it very clean and lightly oil the friction surfaces.
I'm careful about how I load the mags and keep them clean also.

I know there is a lot of opinion out there that you don't have to clean a .22LR. much. But I was raised with guns since I was 9 years old to keep them spotless at all times.

I also depend on a weapon to keep me alive every day. I just can't let a gun stay dirty.

You mileage may vary, but this is my story and I'm sticking to it.
