Was messing around with my stuff and tried the 15-22 upper on one of my lowers for fun. It pins in with a slight gap between the upper and lower. I could pull back the charge handle and dry fire it fine. The only part I see being a problem is the buffer retaining pin getting in the way. I asked my gunsmith friend about it and he said I might need to trim the hammer or it might get stuck in the bolt. I'm going to try shooting it as is anyway. Mag fits but isn't perfect.

Has anyone tried using a regular lower with their 15-22 upper? Any problems?

I fitted it before but figure shooting could be a disaster. I had the same gap and loose fitting mag. I'm you could slim the mag to fit proper otherwise your going to have feeding issues.

I'd wear safety glasses to a shield if you pan to fire it.

Unless you're trying to mount it on a select fire lower, why bother?
It's not going to do anything more or better than it would as it came from the factory.
And yeah, I tried it on one of my M4s, didn't work.:(

Why not just pin ur AR15 upper on your 15-22 lower. I'm sure it'll have a bigger blast when u pull the trigger.

Why would u want to pin either to the other. It's not going to function as a weapon, so why even bother?

PS: If you stick a Ferrari emblem on the front of your Volvo. Do you think your Volvo will function as a Ferrari?
