I put five magnum rounds through my no-lock 340PD and never did that again. Maybe I’m old, or an old wimp, but the recoil was so severe that follow up shots, rounds two through five, were difficult to control and slow to deliver.

If you routinely shoot a J frame with magnum ammo until the gun wears out, I know a couple hand surgeons who may be able to rebuild your hands and wrists( just maybe)
