17-4 information

[federal paper]

Recently aquired a 17-4 nickel. The book I have only list as made in blue is this incorrect or has this been nickled aftermarket. Thanks for any input on this.

If it is a factory nickel revolver it will have an N stamped on the frame under the grips. If it's factory refinish in nickel it should have a RN and then two digit number that is the year it was refinished stamped on the frame in the grip area.
