I inherited a decent amount of guns and some are just not for me and I will end up selling some. Can you guys give me a good value on this one please? I see prices all over the place from $2200 to 800ish. I know condition matters but the prices are still all over the place. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The K22/Outdoorsman/model 17 etc. was originally bought by woodsmen
for something to carry while doing their whatever out side.
Not what we see it as today. We bought it because it worked
better than any other handgun available at the time. Fast forward
and S&W decided to add a full length under lug(adding
weight to the gun) plus other cost cutting features(?)
and raised the price. Since the wild places in our country
are demishing rapidly today's K22 has become something
only armchair outdoorsmen own. My $.02 IMHO.

I have a 3T model I bought a year+ ago, and I paid less than it is worth, in fabulous condition from the original owner. Frankly I really did not know what it was worth, but a forum member posted it, and we negotiated. No box though. I just wanted one

From what I see, and assuming no rust, freckles or pitting anywhere, I would not be bashful of asking 12- 1300 for it

Full package guns do bring a bit of a premium. I think the $1200-1300 estimates you have gotten are pretty accurate. Keep all the pieces together and protect everything from damage.

Started buying 5 grandkids model 17Ts in 1998-2013. $ ranged from 150$- 850$. Glad no mores coming, just hope the grandkids don't add any greatgrandkiddies for awhile!

I am still baffled by the last sentence in your thread. Do you live inside a major city?.........Lots of woods still left in the USA.

Why would anyone consider selling such s hand gun? Shoot this thing.

Steve, I have about 40 guns and can't shoot them all!! It either sits and never gets used or I sell it to someone that will actually enjoy it and use it which I did. The guy said he plans to use it on the ranch with his son which to me is much better than sitting at the bottom of a gun safe.
