Just picked up this BRG ELITE 9MM from a LGS. Brand new on sale for $179.00 normally $349.00

Wasn't planning on buying a gun but couldn't pass up this deal. The case and extras it comes with are worth it alone.. LOL.. I have read good things about these guns. Can't wait to fire it..

USA;

it can't be too bad of a pistol.

I like the grips with the mags, I think you did Great !!

Let us know how it does after 200 rounds of break in ammo
on some targets.

It's an XD clone made in Turkey. I doubt it will need breaking in. Graham Baates on Youtube has reviewed this gun.

That's a "just because" purchase if I ever saw one. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have passed on that deal, either.

Yea...That might would twist my arm a bit too, even though I need another 9mm like I need to gain weight.

I had an XD-9 many years ago. A good pistol. Too big for me as a carry gun, but a good shooter.

Thats crazy as I sold a FDE one about 2 month ago for 300 so thats is a bargain. They shoot great but I am currently getting rid of most of poly framed pistols. I just want steel or aluminum.

I've seen them several places listed for $199. They seem to get good reviews, but I'd wonder how they'd hold up long term.

Made in Turkey AFAIK. No way a pistol could be manufactured here for that price and be of any usefulness. Let us know how it performs.

As a former distributor rep and S&W rep from the early 2000's this strikes me as ironic. A little history for you youngsters...
The XD was simply a Croatian pistol that was formerly imported by a company called Intrac as an HS-2000,(with a few improvements) Springfield made a ton of $$ by marketing the heck out of the XD and making it a household name.
Showing an M&P in the early days to dealers meant you had to show why it was 'better' than the entrenched Glock and XD in order to get dealers to stock it.("Did we mention the M&P is made in America"? we used to say.... Fast forward almost 20 years and here we are.
What an industry... I'm sure the Turkish gun is a winner at that price.

Made in America doesn't carry the same punch it once did. I'll bet that when you said "Did we mention the M&P is made in America"? quite of lot of them looked up and said "So?"

When late wife#1 decided we needed a gun in the house I wanted her to get an XD. (I was still non-resident, so no guns for me). However, she was totally taken by the original Steyr M9 because of those big triangular sights and the safety. The other gun on the counter that day was the Ruger P95. I still have the Steyr and picked up very cheap P95 on a whim at a later date. Trust Ruger to find a way to overbuild a plastic gun.:)

I would love to acquire an original HS-2000 just as a historical piece.
