Can you guys give your estimates on a fair value for a 19-3 "shooters grade" (if that is a correct term). Assuming the gun is mechanically good with tight lockup. No idea of round count but certainly looks well used, maybe a daily carry for LEO. Holster wear around muzzle. Hogue rubber grips, no original box or papers.
This is in California. Prices tend to be higher because this is off roster so costs more to convert to SA in order to bring into this lame state.
Thanks.
EDIT: Finish is blued, 4" barrel.

I suspect $500-600 is realistic, assuming a 4-6' bbl in decent shape.

What do you have to do to make it OK in California?

4" barrel. Finish is not horrible but has light scratches. Finish around muzzle is almost gone due to holster wear.

California has an "approved" list of guns known as "On Roster". Because these have no lock they are "off roster" or not approved. There may be other criteria. If this gun was out of state it would have to be converted to a single action before being brought into CA. It is already in CA so can be transferred to another buyer without any mods.

I wouldn't buy it if it had to be converted to SA.

The condition you describe makes it a $500-600 revolver.

It's already in CA, so nothing has to be done.

If it was outside CA then it would need to be converted to SA. It can be converted back after in CA but it you need a single action sear and maybe some other parts and a smith to do it unless you possess the skills. I do not.

Your pics did not post..
9:36 pm and the pics work now.

Im guessing it has a serial later than 1972 by the frame ampersand ?

If its mechanically solid I would be tempted at $425 OTD and would hit the buy now at $350

Pics seemed to work via PC but not mobile, so trying again.

Here where I am that's a $450 - $500 revolver if it's mechanically sound.

Revolvers seem to be gaining ground in Colorado. That Model 19 would bring $500 all day long in Colorado.

I suspect at least that if not more in Cali.
