Three inch barrels definitely command a premium and while I hate stainless, I would have jumped on that for $700. At current market conditions any 3" barrel K frame in serviceable condition is going to be a thousand dollar gun or real close. It has literally been years since I have seen a 3" K for sale in a shop.

A shop two hours away had one with pretty severe pitting for $700. Eventually sold on GB for $800 or close to it.
