It's a PC gun. 3" barrel. Got a front night sight that is not glowing. Has tool steel trigger and tool steel hammer mounted firing pin hammer. Here's a couple quick and dirty pics on the pool table. I don't know it's age, mid to late 90's maybe.
the model 19 you refer to was known as a "K".comp not a v comp. the stainless versions were referred to as "F" comps.
That was what Smith & Wesson internally referred to those platforms as.
 
Box says FIN BT and Stock ST. What does BT mean? Blue ? - ST Standard Target? I think the grips are correct for 1980.
BT = Bright Blue also found on Models 27, 29, etc. Not the standard blue found on Models 10, 15, etc.
ST = speedloader targets. Football targets just had "T".
Your revolver is probably from 1981 and the stocks are correct for that timeframe and how the label is marked.
