The 32 HE may be a nice revolver, but collectors have not yet picked up on their charm, so prices for guns like the author bought in low demand. Look closely to see the left stock on one stripped of finish just a coat of oil applied, finish that looks full of swirls and mis-matched blue. Another picture show rust freckles, etc., etc. I can find about 5 that sold on GB in the last 60 days, five have sold for $100 to $150 that were rode hard and another 5 have sold from $150 to $200 in good condition.

Just a moment... sold for $100.

Just a moment... sold for $111

I will admit that his revolvers might sell for $250 to the right buyer, but bargains are still out there and he found a couple. BTW, I do not think he stated when he bought them for that price?

I paid 3x his price for one from Cabelas library a month ago. Exterior condition was excellent, barrel bore not so much. Haven't shot it yet so I am holding out hope. The lock works cleaned up nicely after a deep clean, although i found something I had never found before. A large flat spot across half of the cylinder stop sear edge, no idea how that could have happened.

I don't know where the author is getting ammo at .60 cents per round....I see it about $1 per round. And someone needs to clue him in... not a good idea to shoot jacketed bullets... cast only please.

I just did a quick check at SGAmmo (my usual source), and their price for 32 Long ranges from $0.44 to $0.63/round

My local emporium has it for <$35/box.

Of all revolver calibers, the loudest scream for reloading comes from the 32s. Even if you buy both your die set and all components at today's inflated prices, you save enough to pay for it all pretty quickly. Since I've got all my equipment and bought my components in bulk a decade ago or more, I just smile when I see $1/ round factory ammo.
