1903A3 Remington

03's in any form are one of my favorite rifle. Many years ago I was lucky to find a 1926 dated National Match 03 in mint condition with Match muzzle cover and PJ O'hare micrometer sight adjuster. Haven't shot in much in the last 20 years as my old eyes have trouble with iron sights.

I'd like to try a C stock to see how it feels as I think I would like it. I certainly wouldn't get rid of the current stock though.

I forgot to mention, I can see what they were talking about when they said the 03s had the best target sights any battle rifles ever wore! 18 year old eyes probably did fine, my 53 year old ones, not so much. At least not consistently. I find I have good days and bad. On a good day I can really put them in there, but if my eyes are tired or the sky is overcast, I really have trouble focusing in.

I think I'll add a military leather sling to it. Just seems like the right thing to do.

If you do, I recommend Turner Saddelry. Have them on my 1903A3, Garand and M1A. They have factory seconds that frankly seem as good as their top quality for much less than normal retail, if that's an issue. (Top quality seems to turn into a factory second pretty quick in everything I own).:D
