I have come to posses a 1905 4th change #36435X. The hammer has been bubba'd very badly. The sear notch is to far gone to save. Does anyone have an idea on finding a hammer. I have two pre M10 hammers but they are different. If I swapped both hammer and trigger would that be a workable solution? Do I need to buy a donner gun?
This is a very nice 6.5" target model with just a touch of bluing wear at the end of the barrel, correct grips and very clean. Thanks.

Where are you, in Oregon ? Do you have a camera, that you can post a couple of pictures
of the hammer ? It's possible that I may have one, but I may not. I need to see what
you have .

You can't swap post-WW2 parts into a pre-WW2 gun. One is long action, and one is short action.

Would Victory Model hammers fit it? Surplus dealers used to sell some, I think.
