Snagged these off of ebay, they are fat, feel good, are a nicely carved set of home mades, and go well on my WW1 Remington Frame / Ithaca Slide / High Standard Barreled for WW2 and maybe Korea use 1911.

Actually one of the first guns I ever bought, was a good deal even 15 years ago at $400.

Nice grips indeed.

On a side note I think your 1911 left military service prior to 1924 when 1911s were converted to A1s. In the 1960s you could go to Gun Shows and pick up the parts and make yourself a ".45 Automatic". That's why it has a variety of parts added to the frame. The frame has No Armory markings so the work was done by a civilian.
 
Those carved stocks look perfect on that old warhorse 1911. 👍👍
I think I should be spending a little time on eBay. 😎
