Hi all, I hope Spring has arrived wherever you live. My issue:when I load my almost new (1 year old, rarely used) mags to capacity (10 rounds) the rounds are pointing nose down. This causes misfeeds (FTF). It occurs with different quantities of rounds left in the mag. Do I need stronger mag springs? FYI, the rounds feed fine through my other pistols.

thanks

Check and see if the spring isn't in backwards or something.

You may need a slightly stiffer recoil spring. At the risk of driving all the spring-experts crazy, I use a 15# Wilson spring in my S&W 9mm Pro and that helps with this problem, but I do usually load only 5 or 9 cartridges, depending on what I am doing.

Are your magazines Wilsons? (I can't remember what brand came with my 9 Pro.) I use Wilsons and have better luck with them than other 9mm 1911 magazines. The magazines that came with my Para-Ordnance 9mm also work well. 9mm 1911 magazines can be a "bloody nuisance." :(

I have been tinkering with the recoil springs, since I shoot loads that barely make IDPA power factor. I'll try a heavier one and test it out.
thanks much.
