I plan on buying one of these in the near future and was wondering how accurate these pistols are? From a nice rest I can shoot 1.5 inch (on a good day maybe slightly better) groups at 25 yards. So I am looking for a pistol that if I miss at 25 yards it is my fault and not the pistols.
With the right ammo what are these 1911 PC's capable of at 25 or 50 yards?
Thanks

Wow, 85 views and no one can comment? Maybe I should go with a different brand.

All my PC guns will shoot 1.5" at 25 yds.A few will do that at 50.

Wish I could afford a PC, but anyway my 5 inch E will shoot 2 inch groups at 25 yards all day long. Best of luck and hope that you will be able to answer your question before long.

The S&W line of PC 1911's are extremely accurate. From your description of your shooting qualifications, you can rest assured that these guns are more accurate than you are. I speak from some experience with them...

Sounds like one will be in good company with my Les Baer and an early model Kimber stainless gold match:)
Thanks for all the input.

I have both of those as well. The Baer is tighter and less flashy. It may be more accurate, but not by much. The early Kimber is a good comparison.

I can bust clay pigeons with my 1911TA at 50 yards. That's damn good shooting from both me and the gun. The trigger makes it much easier than previous 1911s I've owned.

The Les Baer is built with the 1.5 inch guarantee at 50 yards. It is truly my "no excuse" pistol. Meaning when I miss I have no excuse:)
The Kimber has never let me down, has never jammed or failed to feed and is more accurate than I am. It was one of the very early models and I think I purchased it in 1988 or 1999. I do remember it cost less than $900.
But the S&W 1911 PC just looks like a bad azz pistol and hoping it can deliver as good as it looks.
