Got a chance to purchase a 1911 SC. I've only done a little research, but it looks like they have had some issues with the frames on these, is that true? Are these a desireable model, or is it something to stay away from? Thanks in advance for your replies!!

I had one that was regrettably stolen....Great gun in all regards. Get it soon before someone else figures out how good it really is.

Sorry to hear that....seller wants 750.00...w/ 2mags, no box. going to look at it tomorrow. What should I look for on this one?

Jump on it. Bought one of these two years ago. As near as I can tell my particular variation has never shown up in any of the catalogues (frame is in the white / 4.25" barrel). Purchase price was $750 with a $100 rebate from S&W. I was kind of skeptical regarding the external extractor...not any more. Sub 2" groups @ 25 yards. Shoots to the point of aim and has never had a failure to run. If I could get another one of these for $750 I would do it in a quick minute!
