Have one on the way and looking for input. I will carry occasionally but not as my full time EDC. From what I have read appears to be accurate and reliable. I have a few other 1911's and would appreciate any comments.
If you are referring to the 4.25" round butt in .45ACP, I own one.Love shooting it, it is extremely accurate and has never mis-fed a round. It is my primary EDC, carried in a Galco ******* shoulder rig with dual magazine holders. Always carry 230 gn hollows. All I can say is get ready to fall in LOVE (gunwise).

I have a two tone similar to the one in the previous posts. One thing I like about the S&W 1911s is how they implemented the hammer block. While not a fan of this kind of safety, most depress the plunger on the trigger stroke, which also impacts the quality of the pull. Any adjustments to the trigger have to keep this in mind as it could lead to damaging the plunger. I have a couple SIG 1911s that have this kind of implementation, which has since been removed via a filler plate. S&W uses the grip safety to depress the plunger. This leads to a better trigger pull and no need for a filler plate.
Accuracy and reliability is good. As with any 1911, quality mags are a must. May be my perception, but the scandium frame has a sharper recoil when compared to alloy frames. I've shot them side by side, same loads, and the recoil is noticeably different with the S&W.
Stealth Inst,
I have been considering that specific 1911 for next purchase as I have found that I very much prefer the rounded bottom rear frame, some refer to as bobtail, ever since I acquired my Springfield EMP CCC. Could you tell me how the felt recoil is on yours. Thanks.
Yes I will...hope to get the gun this week. I also have the EMP CCC and also like the bobtail
ultratec00 what magazines do you prefer. I have had good success with Wilson Combat in my other 1911's

Which variant of the EMP CCC do you have, the Bi-tone, FDE, OD/FDE, Gray ?
