at gun show I saw a 1917 US Army revolver it looked to have all the right markings for a late 1918 or 1919.lanyard ring missing it had modern stocks on it and it had been nickel plated .the letters were all nice and sharp..i have a 1918 army I just wonder what this is worth.

There has been a nickel 1917 bouncing around gunbroker.com for weeks listed between $699 and $775 BIN. It finally sold for $699 but probably after whoever bought it realized it was wearing pre-WWII magnas. So, basically they got the gun for $100 or so. However, that price range seems to be where the market is for a refinished one.

Nickel

I own a Nonfactory Nickeled M-53 and 25-2, I knew they were not original but they looked so good. Nickeled M-1917 does not ring my chimes for some reason.

See now I am the other way around. :D
I do not care for refinished guns, especially in nickel. But when this factory refinished nickel pre 17 became available it just called to me.
