I wish S&W would offer the new version of the 1917 in 455 Webley, especially since Hornaday is making ammo in that caliber.

Most 1917 S&Ws , as well as Colt New Services made for export to Great Britain were actually in .455 Eley , aka .455 Colt. Longer case , heavier bullet than the .455 Webley.

Ya can shoot .455 Webley in a .455 Eley chamber.

I agree I would love to se a targeted 455 offered by S&W, here in Canada the price on old MARK2's is getting very expensive due to guys realizing how well these guns were built, and shoot!

My dream gun would be a 455 built to the same specs as a Tripple Lock with all the features of a REG MAG, I would love one with a 5" barrel myself!
This is only a dream as S&W will never chamber this cartridge ever, and build it like the good old days of craftmanship!

Dale Z in Canada!
