Here is a group shot of my nicest Military Model 1917's. The earliest one is sn 4410 pictured front right

No pics now , but I did a handshake deal to buy one that someone was selling. Will be sealing the deal this weekend.

I needed a 1917 S&W to keep my 1917 Colt company.

Thanks for the compliment. I have a line on another one that is really nice in the 8xxx serial range. Those 8 guns are the best of my 1917 US Army models

panamajack,
I had that one redone by Gene Williams.
It's one of my favorite shooters, strong as an ox.
Below is an original Commercial Model from 1926.

1917

I've shown this one before. It was wearing pre-war magnas when I bought it! Still haven't found smooth grips for it. I'll probably make a set from scratch.

Must be a problem with Photobucket right now. I can't get it to show in the thread, or link to it???

Thanks guys . Mine also has English proofs which I assume are from WWII . Bluing appears original . #124761

Surprised no one slipped in a New Service

Nice guns!
But you all forgot to mention if you shoot them and what loads you use
