As a new member, Hello to all. I just got a 1917 revolver that looks to be a Springfield rebuild and maybe a reblue at the same time. The frame, cylender and barell all bear a crisp eagle's head inspector mark. The finish is a mint high polished blue that is beautiful. The one odd feature is that an adjustable rear sight was added at some point and does anyone know if this may have been added at the rebuild? A tapped hole was added to the right side and the color matches the bright blue. The sight is marked R.D.L. pat pending. and has a wide notch.
Thanks for looking, DOYMC
