I have a large collection of pen & pencil holders both made in the 1970's for commercial sales and examples that were made in the factory for employees. All of the single sets I have bought from Smith & Wesson employees, so I know where they came from.
Here is one example. I didn't see the markings on the bottom until I was looking to see the type of pads they used.
It reads SMITH & WESSON DEPT 4 MAY 1930

don,you surely have some cool stuff !

Currently I have about 75 model 19 barrels nailed to the moulding and posts in my gunroom. I hung S&W hats, handcuffs and coffee cups on them. They are all from surplus barrels after they stopped making desk sets.
I'll post pictures if anyone is interested.

I haven't been able to snag a .41 Magnum desk set yet.
