Sold pending Funds - For sale is a 1952 vintage Combat Masterpiece .38 Special. All serial numbers including the grips match. It has the fish hook semi-target hammer. This is a shooter grade gun. It was stored improperly and has corrosion and surface pitting on the outside of two chambers of the cylinder. There is also discoloration (spots) and one small pit above the trigger on the sideplate. Were I to guess, I'd say it was stored in a holster. On the good side, there is no evidence that the gun was ever fired outside the factory. There is no mark from lead splatter or gas erosion on the top strap at the barrel-cylinder gap. There is no wear at the firing pin hole. The magnas are in very good shape. I personally see it as the basis for a Bowen small caliber centerfire conversion. Timing and lockup are impeccable. There is no endshake. Price is $365 including shipping via USPS from FFL to your FFL or C&R.
