THAT ONE LOOKS NICE, AND SINCE ITS NON FACTORY CUT,No unicorn status or anything just nice work and nicer cond gun with box. alsways liked the 1950 and 55, just last month got my letter back on my 1950. somebody said probably made in 53/54
well factory said shipped out in 10/52 so probably made in 51/52.

its always nice to see these 50 and 55 models and still interest in them.from my first one in 1970, always great stuff.RON K.

I’ll give a range report when I next get a chance to shoot. Might be week or two. A guy I know was kind enough to give me 50rd of AR brass loaded with 185gr jacketed. Between that and my own Lee cast loads I should be able to see how sights are calibrated. I have a feeling that with the 230gr load it’ll hit high with the sight bottomed out. We’ll see.

Took it out today for a spin. Put some of my 230gr loads through it with 5gr bullseye. As I figured it shot high…about 1ft high at 25-30yd tin cans. Dropping the front sight midway in the rear sight put it on target. This makes sense given the target from Cannons Guns regulating 200gr swc. In slow fire double action, it brought point of impact down closer to point of aim, at least in my hands. Nicely balanced gun. Tin cans and plastic bottles were the victims today so no paper target photos.
