Hello New to the forum
I am looking at this 29–2 with the 2 1/2 inch barrel. It has magna PORT and I was wondering if somebody could chime in on the authenticity of this model
serial number seems to date to 1973
I wasn’t sure and couldn’t find anything on the 2 1/2 inch barrel and or the magna port if it would be aftermarket
is this a rare find or not?
Please advise thank you

Not a factory piece by any stretch of the imagination. The crane appears to have been modified, adding a twin ball detent locking system. The ejector rod shroud looks really odd, appears to have been chopped really short, yet somehow there is still the locking pin or another spring loaded ball for the ejector rod tip. Not sure how there is enough space for either system. The stocks appear to be rubber, look like Pachmayr. The whole thing appears to have been hard chromed. Mag-na-port was not a factory option with the Model 29-2.

Title says 19-2?
Typo on one side or the other.
Trigger and hammer appears to be flash chrome, as used on stainless models. Dual ball detents in the yoke suggests NOT factory. If it's a 44 mag, hang on and don't shoot it into the wind if you don't want a face full of half burned powder.

My typo
It is said to be a 29-2

I’m sorry the thread title is a typo

Looks like a neat gun. As others have said, not factory, but that doesn't mean it isn't good work. John Jovino and others modified a lot of them in that way a few decades ago, without the Magna-Porting, as I remember anyway. I don't think I'd want to touch off full mag loads with it but 44 Specials might be just the ticket.
