New gunshop opened nearby and had several vintage NIB S&W revolvers at very reasonable prices. I had no need for this pinned 2 inch but with box, papers, and tools could not resist,

I bought one a few weeks ago for $300.00 OTD. I still had one I bought new in 1971 for $110.00. My daughter saw the recent purchase and stuck it in her purse. The same store came up with another one without the pinned barrel last week for $369.00. It was dirty but in good mechanical shape and was wearing pachs. I called a friend of mine and told him and he went and bought it for $350.00 +7% sales tax. I probably won't see another for years, especially at those prices.

$300 is a killer price. I've bought two recently, one private party one the LGS--paid $425 OTD both times. One's a 1970-73, the other a 1979-80.

In my collection I have a M60 shipped 8-1973 that is N.I.B. A good friend had two and sent me one as a gift. He even paid the shipping. This was in 2005. Doesn't get any better than that. Big Larry
