Military Surplus prices - Getting off topic but interesting!!
I purchased two military surplus guns from former member David Damkaer a few years ago and with the guns he gave me his original receipts, here are descriptions.
First up is a Colt .45 WWI 1911 in original condition (not reworked) that David purchased at Stan's Gun Shop in Seattle on March 27th, 1964 and he paid $45 for it.
The second is a .30 M1 Carbine made by National Postal Meter that David purchased from Revere Supply Co. in New York, NY on July 12th, 1967 and he paid $65 for that one.
Yes, I still own these guns and I am David sold them to me for below the going prices back then. And I am sure the current prices has soared on these two.
