Here in East Tennessee that would bring $550 to $650

I am Model 66 bias. Especially variants with short barrels. That being said $450 for one would make me feel like I hit the lottery. Don't pass it up.

That's an exceptionally good price, I'd buy it in a second. Here in PA I haven't seen any reasonably decent 66 snub go for less than $700 in a while.

In the future don't worry about light pitting too much. I bought a 66 last year that I thought was dirty around the grip line. You guessed it. Pitting. After reading on the forum I started on the sides of the frame with 220 grit and worked up to about 600 until I was happy with the finish. I wish now I'd have bought an abused Mod 60 a LGS had for $199. Bet it could have been spiffed up nicely.

This 1, was marked $795 at a local gun show. I paid $725 for it, and do not regret it. Gun only with no extras. Of course the "rubbers" are off it. Bob

Looks like you are right. I went back this afternoon and it was already gone.

Oh well que' sera'! I already have a Rossi 971 snub that is as smooth as any S&W and I can't get them all I guess... :(

I HOPE THAT YOU LEARNED YOUR LESSON----YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE ! !
