I carry a Gen 1 Shield with TLR6. Been thinking about a Shield Plus for increased capacity. Recently removed the TLR6 while cleaning and pulled out an old holster. Without the TLR6 the shield is surprisingly more comfortable. Makes me think about buying a Shield Plus, then making one a daytime/ shorts carry and the other an evening carry. Does anyone out there have 2 same carry guns, one with a light and one without, or do you carry or not carry a light on your Shield/ Shield Plus, period?
Thanks.

I have two that kind of fit your description. One is a M&P Shield 9 M2.0 3.1" barrel with fiber optic sights (SKU 12471), and the other a M&P Shield Plus 3.1" barrel OR with night sights (SKU 13536). They both conceal well and fit in the same holster. Obviously, the fiber optic sights are better in daylight and night sights better in the dark. I don't like the extra weight and bulk of a light on a carry gun.

The 2.0 is lighter with the smaller capacity magazines. The Plus is bulker especially with a 15 round mag. I doubt I would ever be in a firefight and need 15 rounds instead of 8. They both shoot well and a favorite is hard to pick.

My "night gun" is a M&PSC with TLR6, both plus and Shield40 have NS but I consider them more for daytime low light situations

I have a Shield 9mm 1.0 which is one of my 3 EDC's. It's equipped with TruGlo Tritium Pro Night Sights, Talon Grips, and a Crimson Trace Laserguard Pro LL-801G green laser/light which has options for laser only, light only, strobe only, and adding the laser to light or strobe as well as a master off switch. I looked at the TLR-6 but went with the CT for its smaller and lighter footprint. The light and strobe are less bright than the TLR but works well out to about 50 feet. It's grip activated when master switch is on but doesn't pull power from the battery until you grip the pistol. I got about 4 years from the battery. I carry it OWB, IWB, or pocket comfortably. It's also available with a red laser but the green extends range much farther and brighter. It's a great option when I'm out from daylight to dark. Here's a link:

Thanks for the comments. I am planning to get a shield plus for the capacity. That will give options. I must say though, i handled 2 at my local store yesterday an both triggers were very gritty during take-up. The store person compared them with a new shield 2.0 and agreed the plus trigger was not as good. Nothing is easy.
