I have a chance to pick up a 2004 Mustang convertible with 75,000 miles on it from an estate. Is there anything I should particularly look out(problems?) for on this model? I'm asking here because as far as I'm concerned we have some on the most knowledgeable posters on the Internet.

My wife bought a new Mustang GT in 2004. She put 104,000 miles on it with zero unexpected repairs, Though she has a new Jeep Cherokee she just cant seem to turn loose of the stang. It might have something to do with her ego. When she bought it she was propositioned in the dealership and at the first gas station. Helped her 50 year old ego.

Take it to a mechanic you trust and have him do a bumper to bumper on it. Lots of stuff could be just waiting for you to get out on the highway with and then conk out on you.

I've had this 2004 GT for about 4 years. Has 25,000 miles and runs great. Only repair I've had was a new fuel pump which was pretty salty at around $500 iirc.

The 6 cylinder is a good motor. I bought a 2002 convertible for my wife with 75,000 on it and we put another 75,000 on it with zero problems. When I traded it on a used 2015 I got most of the money back I paid for it. It was a great road tripping car.
