I want to get a good .22 1911, but I dont want to spend a ton. So that leaves the Kimber models out.

I don't want a conversion kit either.

The only ones that I know of are the GSG 1911, and the Chiappa 1911

Those are both under $300.

If anyone owns one of these, some input would be great.

And if you know of any other .22 1911's that are in the same price range that would be great.

Someone is supposed to be making a true 1911 Colt stamped .22lr, but I can't remember who. It's going to be priced aroud $400, and they are going to make a GI and a Tactical. I saw them in American Rifleman or one of the hand gun mags. I'll have to look around a bit to see if I can find the article unless someone else knows who was going to offer these...... Shoo

ok cool. I havent heard about that. let me know, thanks

If you do not already own a 1911 centerfire then I understand ruling a conversion unit out. But if you already own a 1911 a Kimber Conversion is on sale at Midway for $289 in silver or matte finish. It takes only a couple of minutes to swap slides and you have 10 shot .22LR that will shoot itty bitty groups. Also no FFL paper work as the frame is all thats registered. Something to keep mind in our current political climate.

My prayers have been answered! :D

Hey f.t., How about one of these with a laser sight mounted on the rail ? Should be a little tack driver and lots of fun !!! Shoo
