A friend has a 22/32 hand ejector from the mid to late 30's. Ser# 517xxx. Will a barrel from a model 34 fit this gun? Or does anyone here have a barrel that will fit?

I'll answer your initial question with a fairly serious "probably not". As for finding the proper barrel, Poppert's Gun Parts in PA has (or at least had) properly configured factory (?) 22/32 barrels in both 4" and 6" length. They are final machined but unfinished and unmarked.

The barrel threads should be the same, but you would need to find a different ejector rod or file a notch for the barrel shaped '30s ejector rod head.

Plus, the newer barrel has a rib, while the pre WW II barrel didn't.

Yes barrel threads are the same. The barrel rib won't be flush with the front of the top strap but it will work. You will need to replicate the notch under the barrel for your extractor rod knob like Miley Gil said but that's simple to do.

If you find a pre war barrel, try to find one with the notch, the late production pre war style barrels don't all have it. But again, you can easily replicate it. It would be difficult to find a straight extractor rod without the larger knob because you need one with right hand threads to fit your gun.

FWIW, I have acquired barrels 208067, 225317, 229957 and 253584 for my collection over the years. Unfortunately they are not for sale.

An interesting side note is that the gun, 229957, was shipped to F.H. Wesson so no idea why the barrel was removed as I don't see any issues.

208067 came from a M.W. Robinson gun shipped in the 2/18/1914 shipment. Part of the 490 shipped to him in early 1914.

Are your barrels 4" or 6"?

If #208067 is a 6", it was probably swapped out for a 4".
