Added some more yesterday. 22LR somewhere in the range of 7K at this point. I must be over 30K total with the rest of the centerfire ammo.

I don't know of anyone who could survive a shot to the brain with a .22 or a 30-06.

The election in Nov. '08, and the shortages that followed, were my wake up call. I only had about 2 brick of various .22 ammo on hand. I told myself that would never happen again. I told my wife about the shortages, and she said I'd better stock up. Thanks to her permission, I went into a buying frenzy, and now have about 11k just in my stash. That's not counting what I have on hand to shoot. Nor is it counting centerfire rifle and pistol, or shotgun slugs or buckshot, which is another story entirely!

wow i got a lot of catching up to do. im nervous about the new california law going into effect. seems if they cant take guns away they will take the ammo away.

Yea you can see the middle shelf is straining a bit. I have some quarter round behind the divider supporting it. That's just part of the stash here's some more on the loading bench. I just added 1,900 more rounds this past Sat. And yes the ammo underneath is supporting all the ammo above.

I used to clean out foreclosed properties and came across a home that had more than (5) 5 gallon buckets full of spent casings. We went to recycle them and the poor people thought we were a bit excessive, we didnt tell them we werent the ones who shot them. I cant imagine what his arsenal of live ammo was.
