.22 Remington Jet / Model 53

The world's only 22 caliber centerfire Magnum handgun cartridge.

Planning on going to North Carolina to the Symposium in June. This 1st year Model 53, "The Jet" is one of the guns I'm going to display.

Looking forward to seeing your display. The M53s are neat guns and prices for them seem to have accelerated this year especially when found with box, extra cylinder numbered to the gun and the inserts. The original cleaning kit with the "triangular" swab is pretty hard to find.

One of the last made. # 4K 83491, shipped 11-1974. Stamps in the yoke say M53. In fact it is a M53-2. Gun was lost in transit and was found in Colorado. I live in Utah. Got free shipping on it.
Most M53's have walnut stocks. This one has Goncalo Alves.
Wish it had a 22 LR cylinder. Big Larry

A pair to draw to!

Here is a pair to draw to! The nickel gun was shipped on 28 Feb 62 and the grip frame is stamped with a 3-62. I believe the finish was changed to nickel in Mar 1962. The factory letter states the gun was shipped as a blued gun.
